Overall Job Scope
Our client is seeking to recruit an experienced General Trade Sales Manager for the OTC Business sector. He/She will lead the development and implementation of comprehensive sales strategies tailored to the general trade segment. This role focuses on cultivating essential client relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and guiding the sales team to achieve targets within a dynamic marketplace.
Key Responsibilities
The role will be broadly responsible for the following functions:
  • Create and implement comprehensive sales strategies specific to the OTC sector, with a primary focus on general trade sales.
  • Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities within the general trade segment to drive revenue growth and expand market presence effectively.
  • Have good strategic account management to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients to optimize sales opportunities and foster long-term partnerships.
  • Lead a sales team by providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the achievement of sales targets and objectives.
  • Have good market analysis to track industry trends, evaluate competitor activities, and identify emerging opportunities.
  • Ensure seamless communication and coordination across departments to deliver a cohesive approach to sales and marketing efforts.
  • Prepare detailed sales reports, including sales forecasts, market trends, and competitor analysis, to drive sales success.

Requirements

  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or related discipline
  • Minimum 8 years' solid relevant experience in a sizable company including 2-3 years in a managerial role within the OTC Business sector for the general trade segment.
  • Strong leadership skills to motivate a sales team effectively and excellent communication skills working internally with inter-departments and externally with clients.
  • Proven experience and strong network within the OTC Business sector.

Remuneration

Compensation will be set at a level appropriate to the background, current position and current compensation of the successful candidate + bonus and other benefits.
